2. OISF To Get Second Battalion: The state government has approved the formation of a second battalion for the Odisha Industrial Security Force (OISF). The proposal has been cleared by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and 1040 positions have been created for this new battalion.
3. Odisha to distribute ‘Subhadra’ money: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Prabhati Parida announced that the government will distribute 'Subhadra' money to eligible beneficiaries' accounts on April 24, Panchayati Raj Day, during a special program in Puri.
4. Additional Tehsildar arrested: Bhubanananda Sahu, Additional Tehsildar of Maneswar Tehsil in Sambalpur district, was arrested by the Odisha Vigilance for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹6,000.
5. CM Majhi felicitates Sudarshan Patnaik: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi felicitated international sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik for receiving the prestigious Sand Master Award in the UK. Patnaik became the first Indian to receive this honor.
6. Jajpur Court Sentences Parents To Life: A special fast-track court in Jajpur sentenced Nakul Jena and Sanju Jena, parents from Binjharpur police station area, to life imprisonment for brutally killing their 15-year-old pregnant daughter in 2016. They were also fined ₹10,000.
